The Classroom Renovations initiative at CIC Enugu represents a vital step in restoring and enhancing the learning environment of one of the school’s most important foundational spaces. Recognising that conducive classrooms are essential to academic achievement and student well-being, the CIC Alumni Association made the renovation of aging classroom blocks a central priority in its broader effort to revive the educational standards and infrastructure of the institution.

Over the years, many of the school’s classrooms had deteriorated, their walls and interiors showing signs of wear and age — conditions that can dampen student motivation and impede effective teaching. With this in mind, the alumni community rallied support, pooled resources, and embarked on comprehensive renovation works designed not only to repair but to transform these learning spaces into environments that inspire curiosity, focus, and academic excellence.

The renovation work includes structural upgrades, fresh painting, modern seating arrangements, improved lighting and ventilation, and other enhancements that contribute to a more comfortable and stimulating educational atmosphere. These improvements help ensure that students are able to engage fully with their curriculum, while teachers can deliver lessons in spaces that reflect dignity, pride, and a renewed commitment to quality education.

More than just a facelift, the classroom renovations are part of a broader vision to reinvigorate CIC Enugu’s legacy as a centre of academic excellence. By addressing physical infrastructure needs, the project boosts morale, promotes better learning outcomes, and affirms the association’s dedication to nurturing future leaders. The renewed classrooms stand as a testament to what can be achieved when alumni come together in service of their alma mater, reaffirming that every student — past, present, and future — deserves a world-class education delivered in an environment that supports success.
